Same day crowns | inlays & onlays | bridges

At Your Tamworth Dentist we are happy to be able to offer same-day crowns, inlays & onlays, and bridges using state of the art CEREC 3D CAD/CAM milling centre. This allows a much simpler process with no need for multiple visits, no messy impressions, and no temporary restorations.

Root canal Treatment

When the pulp or nerve inside your tooth becomes infected root canal therapy is the only solution to remove the pain and restore the tooth. Left untreated, the infection can create an abscess, severe pain, and irreversible damage to the surrounding jawbone, so it’s best to get immediate help. Root canal therapy involves identifying the infection, removing infected areas, preparing the canals for the filling, and filling the tooth. A crown is often placed on top of the remaining tooth structure to protect against further damage and breakage.

dental implants

At our surgery, dental implants are placed and restored, from start to finish, without referral. We provide a full range of options, from a single tooth, to replacement of a whole arch of teeth. Using only implants from Osstem, ‘Nobel Biocare’, ‘Straumann’, and ‘Implant Direct’. These companies have a proven track record of quality and continued scientific research, helping to ensure that your implant has the highest possible chance of success at Your Tamworth Dentist.

whitening | in office & take home

If you are unhappy with the colour of your teeth, professional whitening can help you regain a natural white smile. We offer a gentle and efficient way to whiten teeth without removing natural tooth structure (e.g Veneers). C

Custom whitening trays make for an easier, more comfortable whitening experience that you can do from the comfort of your own home.

Alternatively you can achieve faster whitening results with in-office whitening.

Veneers

Fitting porcelain veneers over your existing teeth to achieve a more polished look is an ideal way to enhance your smile. Whether you suffer from discoloured or chipped teeth, porcelain veneers may be the right choice for you.

Once our dentists have established the health of your teeth and gums, these thin, semi-translucent porcelain ‘shells’ will be gently bonded to your teeth to achieve a natural looking smile.

Extraction | Wisdom Teeth removal

Most of us need to have some or all of our wisdom teeth removed because our jaws don’t grow large enough to fit all our teeth. Because of this the wisdom teeth (far back molars) cannot erupt properly into our mouths and can become impacted.

Impacted wisdom teeth can cause a range of problems including: damage and decay to neighbouring teeth, pushing your other teeth out of alignment, causing severe gum infections, headaches, jaw aches and earaches.

Emergencies

If you are unsure of what you need done, but only know that you are in pain, we are happy to take emergency appointments. An emergency situation could include: toothache or swelling that suggests an infection of a tooth or gum, severe toothache or facial pain which is not controlled by taking over-the-counter painkillers, trauma of the face, mouth or teeth after a recent accident or injury, a permanent tooth being knocked out, bleeding after tooth extraction that you cannot control, or serious swelling of the mouth or face which is getting worse.
